On the 30th of December, Bal Bharati Public School, Khandwa, hosted its 2nd Annual Sports Day, Harmony, a day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Shri Mukesh Chaturvedi Sir, newly appointed CE Gen. MPPGCL Khandwa, Guest of Honor, vice chairman of BBPS, Khandwa, Shri RK Sahu Sir, along with other eminent dignitaries from MPPGCL.
The event kick started lighting of the torch followed by stupendous display of march past where all the students proudly paraded followed by welcome address of Head Boy, Anup Minare and Head Girl, Somya Upadhyay. In her insightful address, Principal, Ms. Jyoti Gupta, appreciated the efforts of students and staff. The enthusiasm, fervour and shimmer of cultural extravaganza was palpable as the young athletes geared up for a promising day ahead. The sprawling venue, adorned with colorful banners and flags, buzzed with anticipation as students truly brought out the meaning of Harmony by performances revolving around SDGs, G-20, Unity in Diversity along with athleticism and Taekwondo. The sports day featured a diverse range of track and field events and individual challenges. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the track events, where athletes showcased their speed, agility, and endurance that witnessed a nail-biting finish and clinching victory by the slimmest of margins. In the long jump, participants impressed spectators with a remarkable leap that shattered the previous records. The surprise element of parents’ race and musical chairs for grandmothers added fun and vibrancy to the event. The day ended with prize distribution ceremony followed by vote of thanks by sports captain, Karan Patel.
The sports day was a resounding success, celebrating the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and personal growth. It provided a platform for our students to showcase their talent, break records, and inspire others with their achievements. The event left a lasting impression on participants and spectators alike, reminding everyone of the power of sports to bring people together and foster a sense of harmony. With its electrifying atmosphere and unforgettable moments, the sports day marked a truly memorable occasion in the history of BBPS, Khandwa, as the parents and visitors left motivating and encouraging comments on parents’ speak corner.
The Annual Sports Meet titled ‘Harmony’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the premises for students of Nursery to Class I on 10th December, 2022. The theme of the day encapsulated the core essence of Vasudeva Kutumbakam. The chief guest of the event was Sh Dilip Singh Tomar, Executive President-District Cricket Association Khandwa and Vice President, The Nimar Gymkhana Club Khandwa, and the guest of honour was Sh S K Choudhary-Additional CE, SSTPP.
Class I displayed Surya Namaskar demonstrating the Kundalini Yoga accompanied by shlokas recitation. The students of nursery and Mont I &II stole the spotlight with their colourful drills representing countries across the world like Brazil, Africa and Spain respectively. Fun races and ball throw were also organized for the students.
